Pierre-Oliver Bonhomme, Sauvignon Blanc 2023
Pierre-Oliver Bonhomme, Sauvignon Blanc 2023
Domaine Pierre-Olivier Bonhomme is the continuation of the Puzelat-Bonhomme project Pierre-Olivier began with fellow winemaker Thierry Puzelat. Eventually Thierry returned to his family estate Clos du Tue Bœuf and Bonhomme took sole responsibility of the vineyards covering around 9 hectares. There is a focus here on reinstating endangered and indigenous grapes varietals of Loire as high quality wines. Both white and red wines are fermented and aged in old oak barrels. From the Négociant's own vines, Sauvignon Blanc 2023 is, of course, 100% Sauvignon Blanc. Grapes are direct pressed and aged in old 400L oak barrels for 6 months. Super floral and fruity while remaining bright and fresh. Notes of white peach and apple blossom. Sauvignon Blanc 2023 would pair well with a spicy tuna and cucumber ceviche.
