Vivanterre, Skin Contact Orange 2021

Patrick Bouju and Justine are at the helm of this collaborative project with Max and Rosie Assoulin, New York fashion designers. The orange is a great example of how good orange wine can be, a little lactic on the palate with bursting ripe stone fruits like apricot and white peaches. The Auxerois, Pinot Blanc and Gewürztraminer grapes come from 50 year old vines on Alsace with clay-limestone soils. Grenache Gris and Pinot Blanc are from the South of France near the town of Pinet. Grapes were fermented in stainless tanks and Amphora. The Vivanterre orange GSP pairs well with Spicy Thai Basil Chicken (Pad Krapow Gai).
