Les Valseuses, Echoes 2024
Les Valseuses is an exciting and daring négociant project in Jura and France, run by Antoine Le Court-Chedevergne and Julia Naar. The couple met in Brazil while Antoine was learning the making of both wine and beer. Based in the in the small village of Les-Planches-près-Arbois, they took over Casa Antolia around five years ago when they planted the first vines on the domaine. They found their spot by chance - by searching wine cellar Jura into Google Maps. While their vines mature, they source (and handpick) grapes from friends and like-minded growers from across France. The resultant wines are pure, wild and wonderful. Echoes 2024 is 100% Ugni Blanc, originally imported as Trebbiano from Italy and commonly used in the making of cognac. Grapes are macerated on the skins for around three months in whole bunches.
