Jeremy Quastana, Sauvignon Rosé & Blanc 2025

Jeremy Quastana’s wines are distinctive with a firm identity, despite being relatively new to the practice. Mentored by Marcel Lapierre in Beaujolais and seasoned at Clos Ouvert in Chile, he tends two hectares in Loir et Cher. These clay-limestone plots of Pineau d'Aunis, Côt, Gamay and Pinot Noir are up to 40 years old, and border the vines of the late Olivier Lemasson where Jeremy also learnt the craft. His wines are expressive and fruit-driven, a result of carbonic and semi-carbonic maceration techniques he favours. Sauvignon Rosé & Blanc 2025 is 1/3 Sauvignon Rosé and 2/3 Sauvignon Blanc, and the first white wine Jeremy has produced! Slightly creamy, malolactic texture reminiscent of natural yoghurt with delicate notes of pea shoots, honeysuckle and pear. Sauvignon Rosé & Blanc 2025 would pair well with Nash Ulam with salted fish.
