Jeremy Quastana, Etiquette Bleue 2025
Jeremy Quastana’s wines are distinctive with a firm identity, despite being relatively new to the practice. Mentored by Marcel Lapierre in Beaujolais and seasoned at Clos Ouvert in Chile, he tends two hectares in Loir et Cher. These clay-limestone plots of Pineau d'Aunis, Côt, Gamay and Pinot Noir are up to 40 years old, and border the vines of the late Olivier Lemasson where Jeremy also learnt the craft. His wines are expressive and fruit-driven, a result of carbonic and semi-carbonic maceration techniques he favours. Etiquette Bleue 2025 is 100% Gamay which undergoes semi-carbonic maceration before ageing for 6 months in old oak barrels. Juicy and glou-glou with a touch of acidity as well as a pronounced fruit-forward roundness. Etiquette Bleue 2025 would pair well with aged meats and salty cheeses.
