Herve Villemade, Les Chataigniers 2020

Herve Villemade farms naturally over 22 Hectares in the beautiful Cheverny Region. Romorantin is a sister grape of Chardonnay that is now only grown by a handful of producers in the Cour-Cheverny area. These grapes are harvested by hand and direct press before spending 19 months in a mixture of demi-muids and concrete diamond-shaped tank. The result is a rich structured wine with notes of honeysuckle, citrus, apricots and honey. Herve Villemade Les Chataigniers is a special wine to be paired with a smoked haddock and leek risotto, or just to drink by itself!
