Domaine Geschickt, Pinot Noir 2022

Working biodynamically since 1998, this family-owned domaine has been run by Aurelie Fayolle and Arnaud Geschickt for the past 10 years. Found across 4 hectares in Ammerschwihr, the team work symbiotically with the environment, planting trees to increase ecological diversity and working the land with Iris, their mare. 100% Pinor Noir grown on combination soils of clay, limestone, granite and blue marls. The grapes undergo 8 days of maceration before being aged for one year in foudres. Delicate floral notes of lavender combine with smoked cherries and a savoury green pepper finish. Pinot Noir 2022 would pair well with chargrilled spatchock chicken.
