Domaine Geschickt, Phenix 2022

Domaine Geschickt is a wonderful place. This family owned domain has been working biodynamically since 1998 and for the last 10 years Aurelie Fayolle and Arnaud Geschickt have been at the helm. They use horses to work the land and have planted a number of trees to work harmoniously with nature. This orange wine is pinot gris mixed with other estate-grown white varieties destemmed and macerated for 30 days before being aged in stainless steel. The resulting wine is a deep pink colour thanks to the pinot gris and tastes of nectaring, strawberry and orange zest balanced with tannins and a spicy finish. This one is a crowd favourite so get in before it's gone. Domaine Geschickt, Phenix 2022 would pair well with a tomato and burrata salad.
