Domaine Geschickt, Im Schloss 2022

Working biodynamically since 1998, this family-owned domaine has been run by Aurelie Fayolle and Arnaud Geschickt for the past 10 years. Found across 4 hectares in Ammerschwihr, the team work symbiotically with the environment, planting trees to increase ecological diversity and working the land with Iris, their mare. Im Schloss 2022 is 100% Riesling from a single plot planted on clay-limestone soils. After picking, grapes are fermented and aged in demi-muids. Whilst maintaining freshness, this has quite a rich profile and demands to be enjoyed with food. Full in body with notes of yellow apples almost scorched by a powerful acidic salinity. Im Schloss 2022 would pair well with spätzlepfanne and sauerkraut.
