Clovis Ochin, LUDO! 2023

Despite only recently becoming a winemaker himself, Clovis Ochin has long been associated with the world of wine in Paris and beyond. After making waves in the natural wine scene with Yard, Clovis left for Spain to explore the warmer climes and unique terroirs of Catalunya. Taking an inspiration from the winemaking techniques of friends and neighbours Massimo and Antonella of Partida de Creus, his first vintages were released in 2022. Zero sulphites are added. LUDO! 2023 is a blend of native Catalunyan varietals Xarel·lo and Bobal. The grapes are co-fermented in vats, then aged for one year in dame-jeanne before spending a second year in the bottle. Super juicy, light and fresh with multilayered citrus acidity, florals and red berries. LUDO! 2023 would pair well with pan con tomate and anchovies.
