Clovis Ochin, RIP in peace Prodigy! 2021

Clovis Ochin made this first vintage of Spanish wines in Bonastre from the local grape Bobal. The wines were vinified in the cellar of his dear friends, Partida Creus. This is a rare chance to try bobal as you have never tasted it. From a few sunny plots of old vines the grapes that made this wine were the 2021 harvest. This wine is perfectly balanced, with medium body and bright acidity in perfect harmony with cherry, blueberry and other red fruit. Here the grapes were free run fermented in stainless steel vats and aged for 9 months in 50L glass demijohns. The Clovis Ochin Cuvée Special pairs well with Spaghetti cacio e pepe.
