With 20 days skin contact, the nossiola grape becomes more textured, rounder and nuttier. This grape is a local Alto Adige varietal, indigenous to the mountainous region and in this treatment of the grape has a rich roundness and also a nice bite to balance these deeper more complex notes. Elevage in barrels for 6 months before being bottled for the second fermentation. Subsequently it rests and ages for 24 months in the bottle. The Furlani Antico pairs well with whole salt baked fish or as a pairing for a cheese course.
