Bencze, Autochthon 2021

This Hungarian showstopper is a blend of Furmint, Kéknyelű and Hárslevelű harvested at three various moments to capture their optimum maturity. A flavour profile giving pears, aromatic herbs and a saline volcanic minerality. The grapes were partially skin fermented for 8 days and partially whole bunch fermented in different types of amphoras and then aged on fine lees for 9 months. The Bencze Autochthon pairs well with a soft and tangy goats cheese and crackers.
