Ajola, Rosso del Poggio 2022

Azienda Ajola, run by our friend Jacopo Battista, is 3.5 hectares of old vineyards that he has brought back to life far from additives and industrial farming. His wines are representatives of the wonderful terroir on the heights above Lago di Bolsena and the harmonious relationship with nature. This Sangiovese is rich, round and full with gripping tannins and a beautiful depth of flavour. The Ajola, Rosso del Poggio 2022 pairs well with fatty charcuterie like saucisson and crusty bread.
